Chris is a Vancouver, B.C. based trumpeter, engineer, and producer with a powerful, soulful, and swinging approach to his instrument has made him one of the most sought after musicians in Vancouver as well as one of the most recognizable voices in the Canadian music scene. His large warm tone is often compared to that of Clifford Brown – his feel to Lee Morgan’s – and his power and excitement to that of Dizzy Gillespie.

His trio features Jodi Proznick on bass and Bill Coon on guitar.

Chris was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1982 but spent the greater of his life in Amelia Island, Florida and that’s where his distinguishing gospel/R&B tinged sound and feel originate. He spent the early 2000’s in college at the University of North Florida before doing a brief stint with Norwegian Cruise Line. After meeting his future wife (on a ship), he relocated to Ladner, B.C. were he’s been residing since 2003. While living in Vancouver he continued to polish his craft and was the recipient of the 2008 CBC Galaxie Rising Star award.
