They say Latin America’s greatest contribution to the world is joy. Sal Ferreras, his Latin Jazz Sextet, and vocalist Adonis Puentes team up with the exuberant VSO in an irresistible evening of joy, rhythm and the eclectic musical styles, traditions and dances of South America and the Caribbean. Highlights include music by Alberto Ginastera (Argentina), Arturo Márquez (México), Michel Camilo (Dominican Republic), Rafael Hernández (Puerto Rico), as well as some “serious” joyful folk music from Guatemala, Paraguay, and Venezuela.
