Opening Act: The Wilds
About the artist: Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson, a First Nations artist, lawyer, author, and activist from the Skedans Raven Clan of Haida Gwaii, has been singing Haida songs since childhood. Her musical journey includes multiple albums and accolades, such as ‘Best Female Artist’ at the 2011 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards. Her latest project, SGaanaGwa, features legendary musicians Bill Henderson and Claire Lawrence of Chilliwack. Their music aims to integrate ancient Haida knowledge with modern music, bridging cultures and exploring the supernatural realm. The band will perform tracks from their latest release, “The Edge of the World,” alongside favorites from previous albums, celebrating the joy of music that connects cultures and brings people together
“A truly captivating performance — an uplifting, almost ethereal experience that blends exceptional musicianship, powerful vocals, and a rare, intimate window into the richness of Haida culture.” Kelly Breaks, Blue Frog Studios.
