Join two local Vancouver legends, bassist Jodi Proznick and pianist Tilden Webb, as they welcome two special guests from the vibrant Montreal jazz scene to Frankie’s – Sam Kirmayer and Valerie Lacombe – for a night of joyful, swinging music.

JUNO-nominated guitarist and composer Sam Kirmayer plays with “fearlessness and momentum” (Katie Malloch, CBC Jazz Beat & Tonic) and was named one of CBC Music’s picks for the “35 Best Canadian Jazz Musicians Under 35.” Meanwhile, vibrant drummer Valerie Lacombe is in demand as a touring artist and has played in clubs and festivals all over Canada with The Ostara Project, Quinn Bachand’s Brishen, Laura Anglade Quintet, and the Sam Kirmayer Quartet.

Bassist Jodi Proznick and pianist Tilden Webb are well-known to Vancouver audiences, having performed and recorded with jazz legends such as Peter Bernstein, David ‘Fathead’ Newman, Joe Magnarelli, Seamus Blake, and Gary Smulyan over the years. They have also recorded two JUNO-nominated albums together with the Jodi Proznick Quartet.
